@enthusiamy Just as a data point, I knew a lot of young men in the 1980s who pretended to love "geek things," because local conventions and fan clubs were majority-female. And even more who tried to like them to fit in with their friends. Weird how nobody looked at them as "fake," right...?On twitter.com
