@ddanpereira Mastodon is basically Twitter, but people run their own servers (impossible to control, but you might rely on a server nobody cares about). Diaspora is more Facebook-like, but the same idea. If you want to go off-grid, Secure Scuttlebutt can be a lot of fun.
