@415holgate I'm old enough to remember (the same!) people railing against the seatbelt, smoking, and drunk driving laws. Jaywalking, though, is literally "rich people are more important than poor people," so like "no shirt, no shoes, no service" (anti-Hippies), people seemed to be on board.
