@MelisFS @DutchieNorth @Lollardfish My point is specifically that "polite" almost always means that people don't forget "their place" on the hierarchy. Polite societies are dead societies... But also, California got gun control because of the Black Panthers' open carry, so we know white folks were intimidated.
